Exploring and learning our site
Our site is simple once you explore a few basic functions.
The Toolbar
The toolbar is the small writing on the upper righthand corner, opposite of our UWGC logo. Before you are logged in it will read:
Find it? If you haven't already, click on "Sign up!" and follow the directions. Once you do, come back here.
After you are signed up, you need to sign in! Click on "Sign in" on the toolbar and follow the directions. Once you are signed up and in, your toolbar will look like this:
Welcome,SuzyQ (sign out) - Settings- My Watchlist- Wetpaint Assistant- Help
Of course, your toolbar will not say Welcome, SuzyQ because that name is taken by me. Your username will appear there, and if you click on it, you can add your picture and other things about you that you want to share. Others can click on your username when you edit pages, and read about you! It is your custom profile.
Left Column
On the left side of the page, under our UWGC logo, you will see a box that contains our search function. Click on the box, type in your search keywords, and search for what you need. Under that is another box that has the words "Navigation, Browse by Keywords, Site Reports and RSS Feeds". These words have triangles next to them. A triangle indicates that there is more information under that word. Click on the triangle and it will open that words details.
Right Column
On the right side of the page, under the toolbar, are 2 boxes: Page Toolbox and Site Messages.

- Sign out- You may want to click this if you share your computer. But, then you will have to sign in again when you open the Wiki.
- Settings- A place for adding templates for our pages. Feel free to add something you think we can use.
- My Watchlist- You can watch certain pages to see changes and additions to the page.
- Wetpaint Assistant- Has a few Demonstration movies to get us started. Shows the page in action!
- Help- Lots of detailed information about the features of our site.
Left Column
On the left side of the page, under our UWGC logo, you will see a box that contains our search function. Click on the box, type in your search keywords, and search for what you need. - Navigation- This is the index of our site. We will add pages here and then they will have a triangle that opens to more information.
- Browse by Keywords: Open this and the words that have been used the most on our site are there. See something interesting? Click on it and it will take you to pages that contain that word.
- Site Reports and RSS feeds: Interesting information specific to our site
Right Column
On the right side of the page, under the toolbar, are 2 boxes: Page Toolbox and Site Messages.
- Page Toolbox: Just like the name describes, it is a box that has the tools we can utilize to access some of the features of our site. Click on the triangle to view them.
- Site Messages: Just like the name describes!
